Social Media Marketing Case Study:
Epson America
Walt & Company is working with Epson America to expand awareness of its industry-leading digital imaging solutions in the social media sphere. The strategy includes increasing Epson customer interaction, Web site traffic and search engine visibility by developing targeted social media programs using key social media tools and platforms, including Twitter and Facebook. In addition, we leveraged Epson’s social media presence to help drive product sales by promoting holiday deals and product promotions. Walt & Company also designed a program to educate consumers on the benefits, features and functionality of Epson products, by publicizing a series of how-to videos through the top video-sharing sites, including DailyMotion, Flickr, MegaVideo, YouTube, and many others.
Results: In addition to establishing an Epson America Facebook page which drew a significant number of regularly participating fans, Walt & Company designed a Twitter campaign to help Epson identify and reach specific customer groups for its different target audience segments: photo-enthusiasts/consumers, small business professionals, photo professionals, printing production
houses, and the education market. Creating four unique Twitter accounts – Epson America, Epson Small Business, Epson Pro Imaging, and Epson Education – Walt & Company has helped Epson dramatically increase online brand and product visibility, generate viral video dissemination, influence positive social media conversations, quickly resolve customer inquiries and product support issues, and drive in-store and online product sales at leading retailers and at EpsonStore.com.
